The Little Things That Never Made It Into the Books

Every book reaches a point where it's finished.
At least... that's what readers see.
For me, it's rarely that simple.
By the time I write The End, I've usually spent months—sometimes years—living alongside those characters. I know their favorite coffee order, the songs they'd secretly play when no one else was listening, the memories that shaped them long before chapter one, and the conversations that happened long after the final page.
Not all of those moments belong in a novel.
That doesn't make them any less real to me.
Sometimes a deleted scene slows the pacing. Sometimes an interesting piece of family history never quite finds its place. Occasionally I'll spend hours researching a location or designing a family tree, only to realize readers don't actually need that information to enjoy the story.
But I still do it.
Because it helps me understand the people I'm writing.
And because, if I'm honest, I simply love exploring the worlds beyond the page.
More Than the Story
One of my favorite parts of being an author is discovering the little details that make a character feel completely real.
The things readers never see.
The playlist playing through a hero's headphones before a mission.
The notebook a heroine carries everywhere.
The nickname only one person is allowed to use.
The favorite meal waiting for someone after they finally come home.
Those moments might never appear in a novel, but they help shape every decision my characters make. They're part of the story, even if they never appear on the page.
A Look Behind the Curtain
That's exactly why I created Reader Extras.
Think of it as your backstage pass to my fictional worlds.
This is where I'll share the bonus content that doesn't always fit inside a novel but helps bring each series to life in a different way.
Over time you'll discover things like:
Character profiles and fun facts.
Playlists inspired by my heroes and heroines.
Deleted scenes and alternate moments.
Family trees and relationship guides.
Maps of fictional locations.
Timelines showing how connected worlds overlap.
Visual inspiration and behind-the-scenes features.
Exclusive content you'll only find here.
Some posts will be light-hearted.
Some might answer questions readers have asked for years.
Others may reveal details I've been quietly keeping to myself until the right moment.
Every World Has More Stories to Tell
One of the wonderful things about writing interconnected series is that characters rarely disappear when their own book ends.
They show up at weddings.
They offer advice to the next hero.
They tease old friends.
They become mentors.
Sometimes they simply walk through the background of another story and remind us that happily ever after isn't a destination.
It's a life that continues long after the final chapter.
Reader Extras gives me a place to revisit those moments without interrupting the novels themselves.
It's an opportunity to spend a little more time with the people we've all come to love.
What's Coming Soon?
This is only the beginning.
As my worlds continue to grow, so will this collection of extras.
In the months ahead you can expect:
Character spotlights.
Exclusive interviews.
Family trees.
Connected-world timelines.
Maps and locations.
Music playlists.
Deleted scenes.
Bonus epilogues.
Sneak peeks at upcoming books.
And perhaps a few surprises I haven't thought of yet.
Every visit may reveal something new.
An Invitation
Stories don't truly end when we close the book.
They stay with us.
They grow.
Sometimes they ask one more question.
Sometimes they whisper one more conversation.
Sometimes they simply make us smile because we remember the people who felt like friends.
That's what Reader Extras is all about.
A chance to revisit those worlds, spend a little more time with the characters we love, and discover the little things that never quite made it into the books—but were always part of the story.
So check back often.
You never know what you might discover waiting Between the Lines.
See you Between the Lines...
Thank you for joining me on this journey through the worlds beyond the page. I hope Reader Extras becomes a place you love returning to—a corner of my website where favorite characters live on, new discoveries are always waiting, and every visit feels like catching up with old friends.
Love fiercely. Read voraciously.
Expect a Happy Ever After.
