Why My Worlds Keep Growing

Every story has a beginning... but very few ever truly end.
If you've spent any time exploring my books, you may have noticed something.
Characters appear long before their own stories begin. Someone walks onto the page for a single scene, says a handful of words, then quietly settles into the back of my mind. An organization is mentioned in passing. A teammate catches my attention. A family member appears at a wedding or a funeral. A motorcycle club lends a hand. Before I know it, they're refusing to stay in the background.
That's simply how my brain works.
I don't see books as isolated stories. I see living worlds filled with people whose lives continue long after I type The End. While one couple may have found their happily ever after, someone else in that world is only just beginning their journey.
That's how my connected worlds are born.

The Retribution Universe
Everything started with Retribution.
What began as a paranormal romance series quickly became something much larger. The more time I spent with those characters, the more I realized there were other stories waiting to be told. Heroes who deserved their chance. Mates who hadn't yet crossed paths. Enemies who hadn't been defeated.
That naturally led to the Elite Shifter Enforcers, expanding the world while remaining firmly connected to the foundations laid in Retribution. Although each book can be enjoyed on its own, readers who journey through the series in order will recognize familiar faces, shared history, and the threads that weave every story together into one larger universe.
The Bravo Universe
The same thing happened with Sniper Team Bravo.
One sniper became four. Four missions became an entire brotherhood.
Those stories continued into Pathfinders, then Black Tide, as more operators stepped forward demanding their own happily ever after. Each series stands on its own while remaining connected through friendships, military operations, and the enduring bonds formed by people willing to risk everything for one another.
And my imagination still isn't finished.
Already waiting in the wings is Last Line Operatives, another series set within the Bravo Universe, introducing a new team while remaining connected to the heroes readers already know and love.
The Stories Yet to Come
The same pattern continues throughout my writing.
The Iron Covenant began as a romantic suspense series following a covert organization dedicated to dismantling trafficking networks and criminal empires. It wasn't long before another group demanded my attention.
That group became The Broken Kings MC.
Set within the same universe, the Broken Kings share the Covenant's determination to protect the vulnerable, even if they take a very different road to justice. Their stories are every bit as emotional, dangerous, and interconnected, and they certainly won't be the last to emerge from that world.
I Don't Choose the Next Story...
People often ask how I decide what to write next.
The truth?
Most of the time, I don't.
A secondary character says something that makes me stop typing.
A hero walks into a room with a past I hadn't expected.
A woman refuses to remain a supporting character because she has a story that deserves to be told.
Sometimes an entire organization appears from nowhere, complete with history, friendships, rivalries, and future romances already unfolding in my imagination.
Those moments are impossible for me to ignore.
Once I know a character exists, I need to know why they became the person they are. I need to understand what shaped them, what they're fighting for, and who will eventually become the love of their life.
Most importantly, I need to make sure they get the happily ever after they deserve.
That's why my worlds continue to grow.
Not because I sit down and decide to create another series, but because the characters simply aren't finished telling me their stories.
And honestly...
I wouldn't have it any other way.
See you Between the Lines...
Thank you for joining me behind the scenes and allowing me to share a little of how these interconnected worlds come to life. I can't wait to introduce you to the next character who's patiently waiting for their turn to step into the spotlight.
Love fiercely. Read voraciously.
Expect a Happily Ever After
